SYLVANIA, Ohio – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team took a Wednesday evening trip to Sylvania, Ohio, for a conference matchup with the Lourdes University Gray Wolves. The Orange and Black came up just short in a close contest, falling to the Gray Wolves 64-61. The Warriors move to 11-6, dropping their second conference game to move to 9-2.
The Gray Wolves jumped to an early 9-2 lead in the opening three minutes of the first half, but the Warriors responded with a quick 8-0 run to take their first lead of the night off a three from
Steve Helm at the 14:14 mark in the first half. Through the next ten minutes, not much could separate the two squads, and a lay-in from
Brady Titus with 5:14 left in the half knotted the game at 25 apiece. However, in the closing minutes of the first half, the Gray Wolves went on a 12-4 run, as the Warriors trailed 29-37 heading to the locker rooms. The Warriors opened the second half with a couple of quick buckets to cut the Gray Wolves lead to 4, but the Lourdes response put them back up by 9 with just over seventeen minutes left. Tech battled over the next few minutes, and a long ball from
Max Perez tied the game at 46. The Warriors saw their last lead of the night with 5:47 left in the game as
Brady Titus got in the lane for 2. The lead was short-lived as Lourdes went on an 8-0 run to regain the lead and outlast the Warriors down the stretch 64-61.

Lucas Lyyski (15), and
Crew Gibson (13) led the Warriors in scoring, while Titus Added 7 rebounds and 2 assists, Lyyski corralled 8 rebounds, and Gibson contributed 6 rebounds and 1 assist.
The Warriors wrap up their three-game road stretch at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan, on Saturday afternoon with tip-off set for 3:00 p.m.
