FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team hosted the No. 25 ranked University of Northwestern Ohio Racers on Wednesday night in what would be their final home game of the 2024 season.
The Warriors would be outmatched in this one as the Racers would keep possession and control the tempo in the game. UNOH would score in the 28
th minute of the game and take a 1-0 lead into halftime. In the second half, the Warriros would show some fight putting the pressure on the Racers early and forcing the visiting keeper to make a few saves. As the half progressed, UNOH would start to gain control again, scoring a second goal in the 62
nd minute of the match to make it 2-0. In the 75
th minute, the Racers would score two goals 29 seconds apart to end the Warriors hopes of a comeback as Tech would fall in this one 0-4.
Sara Cogoli would make six saves in goal for the Warriors in the loss.
The Warriors fall to 5-8-3 overall on the season and 4-4-2 in WHAC play as the season starts to come to a close. Tech will play its last two games of the regular season on the road with their next game on Saturday, October 26
th at 12pm in Washington, Michigan against Rochester Christian University.
