GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - In a nail-biting finish in Mol Arena, the Indiana Tech women's basketball team was narrowly defeated by the Cornerstone Golden Eagles with a final score of 63-62 in Wednesday's WHAC basketball showdown.

After a slow start in the first quarter, sixteen points from
Taylor Covington in the second frame saw the first half conclude with Tech holding a four-point advantage, 34-30, highlighted by their efficient scoring in the second quarter. However, the game's momentum shifted as Cornerstone made crucial plays to eventually take and maintain the lead with just over four minutes left to play. In the closing moments of the game, the Warriors had a chance to retake the lead but fell just short of victory as the Golden Eagles held on to take the game 63-62.

The Warriors' top scorer,
Taylor Covington, amassed 21 points, followed by
Lauren Barton with 14 points and
Genevieve Decker, who notched 11 points and led on rebounds with six.
Juliana Burris added eight points and a steal.

Indiana Tech holds a record of 8-4 overall and 5-1 in the WHAC. They look to bounce back in their upcoming game against Miami University (Hamilton) in the Schaefer Center on December 20 at 3:00 p.m.
