Warriors Dominate Harriers 74-46 in Schaefer Center

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Indiana Tech Warriors delivered an impressive performance in the Schaefer Center on Friday afternoon, securing a dominant 74-46 victory over the Miami-Hamilton Harriers during a break from conference action. The win advances the Warriors' record to 9-4 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

The Warriors set the pace early with a dominant opening quarter. The Orange and Black would go for 24 points in the frame while holding the visitors to six to establish a substantial lead. The two sides were level in the second quarter, tallying fifteen points each, but the strong first quarter saw Tech going into halftime with a commanding lead of 39-21. Tech flexed some more in the third quarter as they stretched their lead to 29 points after outscoring the Harriers 25-14 to put the game away. All game, the Warrior defense was on point, continually forcing contested shots from the visitors, which never let them get into a rhythm offensively and allowed the Orange and Black to hold the Harriers to just 46 points.

Leading the charge for the Warriors was Taylor Covington, who posted a double-double as she scored a game-high 24 points, along with 10 rebounds. Genevieve Decker also played a pivotal role, contributing 14 points and seven rebounds. Juliana Burris led the side with seven assists and chipped in six points.

Looking ahead, the Warriors are set to face Taylor University in the Schaefer Center on December 30. Tip-off against the Trojans is set for 6:00 p.m.
