GARY, Ind. - In a nerve-wracking non-conference basketball game on Monday evening, the Indiana Tech Warriors faced off against the Indiana Northwest RedHawks at Savannah Center. Ultimately, the hosts narrowly outlasted Tech, dealing a 72-74 loss to the Warriors.

Tech started hot, opening the contest on a 10-2 run across the first four minutes of play. Led by
Crew Gibson's eight first-half points, the Warriors held the early lead for a majority of the first half, until the hosts finally nosed in front with just over three minutes left in the half. By halftime, the Warriors found themselves trailing with a score of 34-40.

The hosts picked up in the second where they left off in the first as they stretched their lead to thirteen with just over fifteen minutes left in the half. Ten points from
Blake Davison in the second half helped the Orange and Black battle back to level the game with 00:45 left on the clock. Despite the effort, the visitors came up short as the RedHawks hit crucial free throws down the stretch to keep the game out of reach.

Jaxson Fugate, who scored 15 points and grabbed 4 rebounds, led the Warriors in scoring, while
Blake Davison chipped in 14 points and 5 assists.
Crew Gibson also contributed 14 points and 8 rebounds.

This loss brings the Warriors' season record to 9-5. Looking ahead, Indiana Tech is set to face Aquinas College on January 4, in the Schaefer Center.
