52 First Half Points Lifts Tech Past Aquinas

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - In a formidable display, the Indiana Tech Warriors overwhelmed the Aquinas College Saints with an 85-50 victory in the Schaefer Center on Saturday afternoon. The hosts exhibited dominance from the start and never looked back.

The Orange and Black came out firing as they opened the game on a 14-5 run across the opening five minutes. Tech showed no signs of slowing down during the remaining fifteen minutes, as their defense was stout, holding the Saints to eighteen points on 25.9% shooting, while the offense exploded for 52 points, led by Crew Gibson, who posted fifteen in the first half. The damage done in the first half was too much for the visitors to overcome as the Warriors cruised to a dominant 85-50 victory.

Crew Gibson led the charge, scoring 17 points and pulling down eight rebounds, alongside notching a steal and a block. Brady Titus and Blake Davison each contributed 12 and 13 points, respectively, with Davison also grabbing three rebounds and dishing out two assists. Max Perez added 9 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

Looking ahead, Indiana Tech is set to travel to Lima, Ohio, to face Northwestern Ohio on January 8.
