ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team fell to Rochester University in a close contest on Saturday afternoon in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Rochester avenged their earlier loss to Tech this season, outlasting the Orange and Black 77-73. The Warriors move to 14-10 on the season and sit at 12-6 in the conference.
 
Out of the gate, Rochester took control by winning the race to 10 after an 11-5 run in the opening four minutes. The hosts saw their first double-digit lead at the 15:10 mark courtesy of a Brett White jumper. Rochester maintained their grip on the lead over the next 14 minutes by responding to every threat Tech threw their way. The Orange and Black finally broke through, taking their first lead at the charity stripe with 18 seconds before the half, but Brody Parker at the buzzer put Rochester back on top 37-36 at the midway point.
 
The battle continued in the opening minutes of the second half as the two squads exchanged blows until a long ball from Brett White at the 13:23 mark started a 17-6 run to put Rochester up for good and establish an 11-point lead. The Orange and Black responded with a 13-3 run, which cut Rochester's lead to 1, but ultimately, Tech came up short as Rochester held on to win 77-73.
 
Max Perez led the Warriors in scoring with 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist. Lucas Lyyski added 15 points, a team-high 7 rebounds, and 2 assists. Brady Titus was the other Warrior in double figures with 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists.
 
The Warriors return to the Schaefer Center for their next contest, hosting the University of Michigan-Dearborn on Wednesday, February 14, set to begin at 8:00 p.m.
