Men’s Lacrosse Splits Pair of Games in Kansas

ATCHISON, Kan. – The Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team moved further west to for two games in Atchison, Kansas after playing in Kansas City, Missouri on March 9th. In Kansas, the Warriors would play RV Benedictine College on March 10th and No. 6 William Penn on March 12th. The Warriors would split the two games defeating Benedictine and falling to William Penn.
 
Against the Ravens of Benedictine, Tech would get off to a hot start going up 6-0 in the first quarter with Josh Bramley leading the way with a hattrick. The Ravens would battle back in the second quarter, but the Warriors would still lead 10-7 at the half. Tech would go up 13-9 in the third quarter before Benedictine ended the period on a 5-0 lead to take their first lead of the game at 14-13. The fourth quarter would go back and forth with Samuel Bodley tying the game at 16 with just over five minutes to play. With just over two minutes left in the game, Nate Langille would give the Warriors the lead on an assist from Chris Domanski. In the final minute, Bramley would get an insurance goal to put the Warriors up two. The Ravens would get one back with 41 seconds to go, but the Warriors would hold on for the 18-17 victory. Bramley would lead the Orange & Black with eight points on four goals and four assists, while Bodley and Devin Macomber would each pick up six points in the contest. Kyle TwoBulls would make 14 saves in just over 57 minutes in net to earn the first W of the season for the Warriors. Jalen Carr would also make one save for Tech in just under three minutes of game action.
 
In the final game of the trip, the Warriors would take on the Statesmen of William Penn in a neutral site contest. Tech would open the scoring in the first quarter with two quick goals from Samuel Bodley and Cooper Musseman. However, the Statesmen would go on a run to take control of the game, scoring six straight and eight of the next nine goals as they led 8-3 midway through the third quarter. The Warriors would trim the lead to three multiple times in the fourth quarter but could not draw closer as they would fall 7-11. Musseman, Bodley, and Josh Bramley would lead the Warriors with two goals each. Nick Craddock would cause four turnovers on the defensive side, while Sebastien Guillaume and Zach Spisz would each pick up three ground balls. Kyle TwoBulls would make 12 saves in goal for the Orange & Black in the loss.
 
The Warriors now sit at 1-3 overall and will head to Williamsburg, Kentucky for a tough matchup with No. 5 University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday, March 16th at 12pm.
