Warriors Get Back in the Win Column with Victory over Trojans

UPLAND, Ind. – The No. 9 ranked Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team picked up a much-needed win on Wednesday afternoon on the road against the RV Taylor University Trojans.

After getting off to a 1-5 start this season, the Warriors would come into this one with a grudge as they were flying to open the game. The Warriors got out to a 6-0 lead after the first quarter with six different goal scorers getting on the stat sheet. The Trojans would finally get on the board in the second quarter, but the Warriors would match their efforts as Tech headed into halftime with a 9-3 lead. The Orange & Black would continue to dominate in the third outscoring Taylor 4-1 in the period to go up 13-4. The Trojans would threaten a comeback in the fourth scoring the first four goals to cut the lead to five, but Tech would not be worried, rattling off four goals of their own to end the game, winning by a final score of 17-8. Nine Warriors would tally points in the contest with Devin Macomber leading the way. The junior from Tecumseh, Michigan would finish with five points on four goals and one assist. Josh Bramley, Nate Langille, and Jake Deacon would all register four points in the game. Nate Durham would lead the Warriors with seven ground balls, while Samuel Bodley would cause two turnovers. Arguably the most impressive performance of the game would go to Tech goaltender Kyle TwoBulls. The St. Charles, Illinois native would make 13 saves in goal, with five ground balls, and one caused turnover. In addition to his defensive prowess, TwoBulls would also chip on the offense side of the ball in a rare goalie goal as he would run the length of the field and put the ball in the back of the net at the 4:35 mark of the second quarter.

TwoBulls and the Warriors pick up their second win of the season and first of conference play as the Warriors improve to 2-5 and 1-1 respectively. Tech will host the University of Michigan-Dearborn in their next game on Wednesday, April 3rd at 7pm.
