Warriors Take Control in the Second Quarter in Win Over Pilots

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The No. 7 ranked Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team defeated Bethel University in a WHAC showdown on Wednesday evening.
 
After Tech's Michelle Farrell scored the opening goal of the game just over a minute in, Bethel would shut down the Warriors for the rest of the quarter, leading 4-1 after one. The Warriors would turn it around in the second however to take back control, pitching a shutout and routing the Pilots 6-0 in the period to give Tech a 7-4 lead at halftime. Thie third quarter would be a close battle with Tech gaining a slight edge with a 3-2 advantage to bring the lead up to four heading into the fourth. With Tech leading 11-7 and just under eight minutes to play, Brooke Buhr would score two for the Warriors and Da'zah Regusters would add another to put the game to bed as Tech would head home with a 14-8 victory. Buhr would lead all Warriors with seven points, scoring five time and picking up two assists, as five Warriors would find themselves on the scoresheet. Regusters would lead the Orange & Black with eleven ground balls, while also finishing with four points. Kat Hoff would get the win in goal for the Warriors, making eight saves.
 
With the win, the Warriors improve to 7-3 on the season 2-1 in WHAC play. Tech will now get ready for a tough battle against No. 9 Marian University with the Warriors hosting the Knights on Senior Day, Saturday, March 30th at 12pm.
