LIVONIA, Mich. – The No. 9 ranked Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team traveled to Livonia, Michigan on Saturday for a WHAC contest against the RV Madonna University Crusaders, falling in a close one 13-16.
The game would be tight through the first quarter with Tech leading 3-2 after one with goals from
Jake Deacon,
Ryan Tedesco, and
Samuel Bodley. After two more goals from Bodley, one from
Tristan McKneely, and one from
Nate Langille, the Warriors would make it 7-4 with just under seven minutes to go before halftime. However, the Crusaders would close the half on a 4-0 run to take an 8-7 lead. Both teams would score four goals in the third quarter as Tech trailed 11-12 heading into the fourth.
Devin Macomber would tie the game with a man up goal for the Orange & Black early in the quarter, but the Crusaders would counter with three goals in under two minutes to take a 15-12 lead.
Josh Bramley would bring the Warriors within two with just under six minutes to go, but Tech would be unable to score again on the Crusaders, as Madonna would hold on to win this one 16-13. Bodley would lead the Warriors with four goals and one assist, while McKneely would pick up eight ground balls, and
Nate Durham would cause two turnovers.
Kyle TwoBulls would make ten saves in goal for the Warriors.
The Warriors drop to 5-6 overall and 4-2 in WHAC play with the loss. Tech will host RV Lawrence Tech in their next game on Wednesday, April 17
th at Warrior Athletic Field at 7pm.
