FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 9 ranked Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team hosted RV Lawrence Tech University in a WHAC matchup on Wednesday night, anointing the Blue Devils with a 22-12 victory.
Nate Langille would open the scoring with his first of two goals in the opening quarter to put the Warriors up 1-0 at the 10:20 mark in the first. After LTU would tie it just a minute later, the Warriors would rattle off three goals to regain their lead and would hold a 4-2 lead heading into the second. The Orange & Black would dominate in the second quarter getting off to a 4-0 run to start and an 8-1 run overall with Langille and
Devin Macomber each scoring twice over that span. Tech would lead 12-5 at the half. The third quarter would resemble the second quarter as Tech won the period 6-2 to go up 18-7 heading to the fourth. With the game firmly in control, up 21-8 with under eleven minutes to play, Tech would ease off the gas and Lawrence Tech would find a few late goals, however the Warriors would prevail handedly 22-12. Macomber and
Samuel Bodley would post six points each to lead the Orange & Black, while Langille and
Josh Bramley would each pick up five points in the contest.
Jake Deacon,
Cooper Musseman, and
Tristan McKneely would all pick up six ground balls for the Warriors, while
Ty Lawrence would cause three turnovers against Lawrence Tech.
Kyle TwoBulls would earn the win in goal, making nine saves in just over 47 minutes of action.
Nehemiah Loving-Lewis would play the final 12 and change in the net, making three saves.
The Warriors move back to .500 at 6-6 overall and improve to 5-2 in WHAC play. Tech will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, April 20
th when the host No. 7 Aquinas College at Warrior Athletic Field at 4pm on senior day.
