Head Coach Alexis DiGiovanni Becomes Women’s Lacrosse All-Time Wins Leader in Win Over Aquinas

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 7 ranked Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team played a conference game against Aquinas College on Sunday afternoon that saw the Warriors pick up a 21-6 victory over the Saints. The win marks Head Coach Alexis DiGiovanni's 48th career win, making her the all-time wins leader in program history, surpassing previous head coach Jason Allen's 47 wins from 2016-2018.

The Warriors would control the game from start to finish, winning every quarter by at least three goals. Seven first quarter goals would set the tone for the Orange & Black early as Aquinas would fail to reach that number over the course of all four quarters. With an 11-3 halftime lead, Tech would not stop pouring it on in the second half, adding ten more goals to their tally to finish off the Saints 21-6. Brooke Buhr would lead all scorers with 12 points in the contest, registering four goals and eight assists, while also picking up three ground balls, six draw controls, and causing two turnovers. Faith Donally would lead the game in goals with five, while Michelle Farrell and Da'zah Regusters also finished with four goals each. Farrell would lead the Warriors with seven draw controls and Regusters would lead the Warriors in caused turnovers with four. Regusters and Kylie King would pick up six ground balls each to lead the Warriors. Kat Hoff would make seven saves in goal to improve her record to 7-0 on the season.

Tech improves to 10-3 overall on the season and 5-1 in WHAC play, now winning five games in a row. The Warriors will host Siena Heights in their regular season home finale on Wednesday, April 10th at 3pm.
