SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team was on the road for a second straight contest on Friday night after their trip to Grace College on Wednesday night. This time the Warriors would travel to Michigan to play the No. 7 ranked team in the country, Spring Arbor University.
 
It was always going to be a tough contest for the Warriors facing one of the top teams in the country, but the Orange & Black were prepared for the fight. After starting the game roughly an hour late due to a weather delay, Tech would show no signs of sluggishness. The Warriors would hold their own in the first half, not allowing any significant chances for the Cougars. The first half would go down as pretty harmless with both sides struggling in front of goal. Despite not registering a shot, Tech would head into the half time break tied at zero.
 
The match, however, would be a tale of two halves. In the second half, the Cougars would come out strong, scoring in the first three minutes to take a 1-0 lead. Spring Arbor would add a second goal in the 64^th minute to cushion their lead and would see the game out in control. The Warriors would be unable to break down the Cougar defense in the game, failing to score for a second straight game. Spring Arbor would tack on one more goal with just over four minutes left in the game to secure the finishing blow and go on to win by a final of 3-0. Sara Cogoli would play all 90 minutes in her first career start in goal for the Warriors, finishing with four saves in the loss.
 
The Warriors now start the season 0-3-0. They will face another good opponent in Taylor University, who is receiving votes in the top 25 poll, on Wednesday, September 4^th at 4pm in Upland, Indiana.
