MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team was on the road for a Saturday afternoon kickoff against Mount Vernon Nazarene University, in a contest that would end in a stalemate.
The No. 9 ranked Warriors would show why they are highly ranked in the first half against the Cougars. Tech would dominate on the stat sheet, leading in both shots (7 to 4) and corner kicks (4 to 1). They would also lead on the scoreboard at the half 1-0, with a goal coming in the 42

Mark Mc Daid. In the second half, the Cougars would battle back and pile on the pressure rattling off ten shots in the period. Mount Vernon Nazarene would find an equalizing goal in the 62
nd minute to tie the score at one. Neither side would be able to find a winner late in the game as the Warriors would pick up a draw in their second game of the young season.
David Martinez would make five saves in goal for the Warriors.
Tech moves to 0-1-1 on the season and will host Huntington University at Warrior Athletic Field on Wednesday, September 4
th at 6pm.
