Warrior Esports Selected Fourth in WHAC Rocket League Preseason Poll

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech Esports Rocket League team was selected to finish fourth in the 2024 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Coaches Poll, the conference released on Thursday. This year the conference expands from eight teams to twelve, adding four new school including Bethel University, Cornerstone University, Defiance College, and Saint Xavier University.

Indiana Tech received 108 points in this year's preseason ranking after finishing last season with a trip to the WHAC Championship game. The Warriors come in just one point behind third place and new WHAC affiliate member Saint Xavier University and 13 points ahead of fifth place Cleary University. Rochester Christian University was picked to win the title this year with 140 points and eight first place votes, after an undefeated regular season last year, with their only loss coming in the WHAC Tournament semifinal to eventual champion Siena Heights University who is projected to finish second this year receiving 135 points and the other four first place votes.

The WHAC Preseason Poll is voted on by the league's head coaches. Points are tabulated by assigning twelve points to the team a coach ranks first, eleven points to a team a coach ranks second, and so on. The number of first-place votes indicates the number of coaches who ranked that team as the No. 1 team in the WHAC.
