GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech Esports team will compete in Rocket League and Overwatch 2 during the 2025 fall season. The Warriors were chosen to be crowned champions for Rocket League and picked to finish second in Overwatch 2 as the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) released the Coaches Polls for both on Thursday afternoon.
Indiana Tech received 54 points in this year's preseason coaches' poll after finishing last season in third place at the WHAC Tournament. The Warriors lead the field, coming out two points ahead of last season's overall champion, Siena Heights, and four points ahead of last season's Rocket League champion Rochester Christian.
In the Overwatch 2 preseason poll, Indiana Tech received 38 points trailing just Siena Heights who received 44 points. Last season, Tech fell to the Saints in the WHAC Tournament Championship and would finish second place overall across the whole season behind WHAC Champion Siena Heights.
The WHAC Preseason Poll is voted on by the league's head coaches. Points are tabulated by ranking the teams from top to bottom with the team a coach ranks first earning the most points, then the second most points to the team a coach ranks second, and so on with the final ranked team earning one point. The number of first-place votes indicates the number of coaches who ranked that team as the No. 1 team in the WHAC.
