LIVONIA, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's basketball team traveled to Livonia, Michigan, on Saturday afternoon to take on the Crusaders of Madonna University in the ACCU Arena for a conference contest. Dominating the middle quarters, the Warriors came out on top, winning 64-51.
 
The two sides struggled to gain any advantage over the other in the first quarter as they matched each other shot for shot with a level score of fourteen going into the second quarter. The second and third quarter was where the Warriors did the damage. In the second frame, Juliana Burris' five points led the Warriors to an 18-12 scoring margin, giving them a 32-26 lead headed into the break. The Warriors' defense in the third quarter was ferocious, holding the Crusaders to seven points. At the same time, Burris, Genevieve Decker, and Lauren Barton combined for sixteen of the Warriors' nineteen points in the frame, to extend their lead to eighteen entering the final ten minutes. Tech was outscored 18-13 in the final quarter, but the deficit was too much for the hosts to overcome as the Warriors took the victory.
 
Juliana Burris led all scorers with nineteen points, led the side in assists with six, and grabbed five rebounds. Genevieve Decker posted fourteen points and grabbed four rebounds. Taylor Covington added thirteen points, a team-high seven rebounds, and four steals.  Lauren Barton scored ten points, grabbed six boards, and had two assists.
 
Tech moves to 13-4 on the season and 8-1 in conference play. The Warriors return to action on Wednesday as they host Rochester Christian for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off.
