DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team returned to the floor on Saturday afternoon as they traveled to Defiance, Ohio, to take on Defiance College in the conference game. After a strong first half, the Warriors took control to win 70-59.
The opening five minutes were an even contest, but a three from
Brady Titus to put the Orange and Black up two at the 14:59 mark sparked some life into the Warriors' offense, which would grow their lead to double figures over the next seven minutes. A pair of free throws from the hosts with eleven seconds left saw the sides enter the halftime break with a score of 34-26. In the second frame, the hosts wouldn't go away quietly, storming back to cut the Warriors' lead to two points, but Tech responded quickly, stretching their lead back to double-figures on their way to a 70-59 win.
Brady Titus led all scorers with 17 points while grabbing four rebounds.
Crew Gibson followed closely behind with 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to complete his double-double.
Blake Davison was a rebound short of joining Gibson with a double-double, tallying eleven points and nine rebounds.
The Warriors return to action on Wednesday as they welcome Concordia (Mich.) to the Schaefer Center for an 8:00 p.m. tip-off.
