DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Indiana Tech women's basketball team traveled to Defiance, Ohio, on Saturday afternoon to take on Defiance College in a conference showdown. The Warriors were dominant from the jump, winning 73-23.
 
Tech started strong, opening the game on a 15-0 run, which put them up 15-2 going into the second quarter. The Warriors continued to apply pressure in the second quarter, extending the margin between the two sides to 26 as they entered the halftime break. The Orange and Black picked up where they left off in the first half, continuing to control the game as they cruised to a 73-23 victory.
 
The Warriors were led by Genevieve Decker and Taylor Covington in scoring, who tallied 17 points each. Decker grabbed 12 rebounds as well, recording another double-double this season. Covington led the side with seven assists. Jaidyn Gulley tallied ten points and grabbed eight rebounds. Lauren Barton matched Decker on the glass, corralling 12 boards.
 
The Warriors are back in action on Wednesday, January 22, hosting Concordia University in the Schaefer Center for a 6:00 p.m. start.
