ALLENDALE, Mich. -- For the second week in a row,
Deanara Mbouge topped the school junior class record in the weight throw while
Mason Murphy also found his way to the top of the junior list as Indiana Tech throwers continued their assault on the record books on Friday at Grand Valley State.
Highlights
- Deanara Mbouge bettered the junior class mark she set a week ago, tossing 17.02m, just .39 off her own school record.
- Mason Murphy moved to the #1 spot on the junior record in the weight throw at 17.76m. He is the school's record holder in the event as well, with a mark of 18.23 last season.
- Jacob Kavicky had a strong debut, winning the non-invite weight throw and hitting 16.38m, an all-time top ten mark.
- Kiya Pogue stayed unbeaten this season with another win in the 60 hurdles in 8.50.
- Esau Haynes finished 3rd in a strong 60 meter field in 6.83, while Davarri Barthell was 3rd in the 200 meters in 21.70.
- Mekhi Oliver led a 1-2-3 finish for the Warriors in the triple jump, along with Barthell and Braylon Amos.
- Woodrow Smith, Davarri Barthell, and Jacquez Lawson went 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the long jump.
