LIMA, Ohio - In an impressive display, the Indiana Tech Warriors secured an 83-58 victory over the Northwestern Ohio Racers on Wednesday evening as the team traveled to Lima, Ohio. The Warriors dominated from the start, leaving no doubt about the outcome.
The Warriors set the tone early. Nine points in the first ten minutes from
Korryn Smith gave Tech a commanding 25-12 lead by the end of the first quarter, a lead they extended to 52-24 by halftime, thanks to 12 points from
Genevieve Decker in the frame. This early advantage was crucial in setting the pace for the remainder of the game. Tech continued to roll in the third quarter, extending their lead to 33 off a lay-in from
Jaidyn Gulley. The Orange and Black took their largest lead of the night, 36, with just under five minutes to go before settling for the 83-58 win.

Taylor Covington and
Genevieve Decker led the scoring efforts with 23 and 18 points, respectively. Decker also rounded out her performance with a double-double, grabbing 11 rebounds alongside her scoring tally.
Juliana Burris was a pivotal playmaker, leading the side with eight assists.
Jaidyn Gulley contributed significantly off the bench, recording a double-double with 11 points and 18 rebounds.
Korryn Smith and
Lauren Barton also scored in double-figures with twelve points apiece.
The victory against the Racers pushes Indiana Tech's season record to 12-4, with a 7-1 record in conference. Up next, the Warriors will face Madonna University on Saturday, January 11, traveling to Livonia, Michigan for a 1:00 p.m. tip-off.
