HOWELL, Mich. – The No. 16 ranked Indiana Tech men's soccer team travelled to Michigan on Wednesday afternoon for a WHAC matchup with Cleary University. Tech would come home with a close 3-2 win over the Cougars.
The Warriors would have their way in the first half.
Liam Arthur scored the first goal of the game in the 21
st minute to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead. Shortly after,
Fabian Hauer would double the Tech lead as the Warriors were in total control. Tech would outshoot the Cougars 12-3 in the first half and led 2-0 at the break. In the second half, the Orange & Black would get on the board within the first two minutes as
Gui Moreira made it 3-0. Midway through the second half, Cleary would start to put some things together and broke up the Warriors clean sheet with a goal in the 70
th minute. Ten minutes later, Cleary would manage to get a second goal to make it just a one score game as they threatened a big comeback in progress. Tech would stiffen up the defensive duties to try to see the game out, but Cleary would fight to the very end, creating multiple chances in the final moments. Cleary would register two shots and have two corner kicks in the final two minutes in a last gasp effort to find an equalizing goal but would ultimately fall short as the Warriors escape with a 3-2 victory on the road.

Jack Kennedy each recorded one assist in the game.
Cuba Grant would start in goal for Tech, playing 77 minutes, making two saves, allowing one goal, and earning the win.
Alex Kyriakides would finish out the game for the Warriors in net, playing the last 13 minutes with one goal allowed.
The Warriors improve to 11-3-1 overall and 7-1-0 in WHAC play as they move their win streak to six in a row. Tech will play Aquinas College on Saturday, October 18
th at 3pm in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
