FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's volleyball team took the court on Saturday afternoon for a contest with the Cornerstone Golden Eagles. In their second meeting of the season, the result would differ from that of the first as the Warriors would get their revenge with a 3-1 win, 25-27, 25-15, 25-22, and 25-19.
The opening set of the match was a thriller with nothing to separate the two sides. As the two teams matched each other step-for-step, it came down to who could score two straight points to close the set. It would be the Golden Eagles to record back-to-back points, as the visitors took the first set 27-25. The loss in set one set a fire under the Warriors as they would come out hot to start the second set, taking a 10-1 lead. From there, the Warriors remained in control throughout the remainder of the set, winning 25-15. In the third set, the visitors had a fast start, taking an early 9-3 lead. The Orange and Black refused to go down easily, though, as they chipped their way back into the set, eventually taking their first lead with a score of 15-14. In the closing stages, the Warriors continued to carry that momentum, taking the set 25-22. The fourth set was another close battle, with the two sides tied at 17-17. The difference maker in the set was a 6-0 run from the Warriors, putting them up 23-17. Tech would go on to take the set and the match with a 25-19 win in the fourth.
