LIVONIA, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's volleyball team traveled to Livonia, Michigan, on Friday evening to take on Madonna University. After falling in their first meeting of the season 1-3, the Warriors were looking to level the season series, but came up short as they were downed in three sets: 19-25, 26-28, and 16-25.
 
The opening set of the match was controlled by the hosts after an early 8-1 lead. Tech battled back, cutting the Crusaders' lead to two points, but the comeback effort came up short as the hosts held on to win the first set 25-19. In the second set, the Warriors got off to a better start than in the first and found themselves with a 19-8 lead. Madonna immediately responded with an 8-0 run, which cut Tech's lead to three. The two sides continued to battle, but in the end, the hosts were able to complete the comeback, winning set two 28-26. The Crusaders had a hot start to the third set, taking an early 10-1 lead. The hosts would control the rest of the set to take the match with a 25-16 win in set three.
 
The Warriors are now 17-11 on the season and sit at 10-6 in conference play. The Warriors return to action on Saturday afternoon as they take on the University of Michigan-Dearborn at 2:00 p.m. in Dearborn, Michigan.
