FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's basketball team kicked off the 2025-26 season in dominant fashion on Wednesday morning as they took down the Miami-Hamilton Harriers in the Schaefer Center with a final score of 91-41.
The Warriors controlled the game from the tip, jumping out to a 20–11 lead after the first quarter and stretching the margin to 27 points at halftime. Tech's balanced attack featured strong shooting and ball movement, finishing at 50.7% from the field with 29 assists and nine made threes. In her Warrior debut,
Ryan Moorer led all scorers with 23 points on 10-of-13 shooting, while
Taylor Covington added 13 points and eight assists.
Gabby Richie chipped in 15 points, hitting five triples to help extend the Warriors' edge. Additionally, for Tech,
Jaidyn Gulley recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Tech's defense was intense as they smothered the Harries throughout the contest. The Orange and Black forced 30 turnovers, while only committing eight of their own. Gulley led the Warriors' pressure, causing six of Tech's 19 steals.
The Warriors move to 1-0 to start the season. Up next, the Warriors will travel to Huntington, Indiana, on Wednesday, November 5
th, for a match-up with the Foresters. Tip-off in Platt Arena is set for 7:00 p.m.
