ADRIAN, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team went on the road during homecoming weekend to play Siena Heights University. The game would stay tied throughout until Siena Heights got two late goals to steal the victory.
There was little action in the first half with only one combined shot on target through 45 minutes as both teams tried to gain control. The action picked up in the second half as both sides started to create chances, but the game would remain tied at zero until the 74
th minute when Siena Heights found the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead. Then in the closing seconds, the Saints would manage another goal to finish off the Warriors and win the game 2-0.
Georgina Palos Noguer and
Cassie Palazzolo would pick up the two Warrior shots on goal in the game, while
Sara Cogoli would finish the game with five saves for the Warriors in goal.
The Warriors fall to 1-8-0 overall and 1-4-0 in WHAC play. Tech will start a three game home stand when they host Defiance College on Wednesday, October 8
th at 2pm at Warrior Athletic Field.
