Warriors Hit Century Mark in Dominant Win Over Aquinas

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team returned home after a one-game road trip, hosting Aquinas College or their first home conference game of the season on Saturday afternoon.  Controlling the contest right from tip-off, the Warriors would come away with a 103-71 win.
 
Tech put together a strong showing in the opening 20 minutes. Offensively, led by Jaxson Fugate's 13 points, the Warriors were efficient, shooting 58.3% from the floor as a team. Tech would dominate the paint, outscoring the Saints 30-16 in the frame. Defensively, the Warriors put together a strong front, holding the Saints to a 36.4% mark. As a result, the Warriors would lead 50-27 heading into the break. In the second half, the Warriors picked up where they left off. The offense continued to convert open looks while the defense made it difficult for the Saints to get into a rhythm offensively. Dallas Roberts' 12 points paced the Warriors in the frame, while the team shot at a 51.4% clip on their way to a dominant win.
 
Jaxson Fugate set the tone with a game-high 22 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Dallas Roberts added 17 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Branden Northern tallied 13 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Blake Davison posted 12 points, three rebounds, and one steal. Evan Haroldson added 10 points, three rebounds, and an assist.
 
The Warriors move to 6-1 on the season and move to 2-0 in conference play. Up next, Tech hosts Cleary University on Tuesday, November 25, at 8:00 p.m.
