FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's volleyball team returned to their home floor on Friday evening for the first time in nearly a month as they welcomed Rochester Christian University for a WHAC showdown. Like their first meeting of the season, the Orange and Black would come away with the win in three sets, 31-29, 26-24, and 25-22.
The opening set was a thriller, with little to separate the two sides, so much so that it took the Orange and Black a 31-29 score to secure the victory. The second set played out like the first, as the squads matched each other step for step. As Tech trailed 23-24, the Warriors would step up, taking three straight points, capped off by a kill from
Lauren Paska to win the set 26-24. After finding themselves trailing early in the third set, the Warriors would string together four points, leveling the score at 13. The visitors would regain a narrow lead, but a 6-0 run to close the set from Tech would claim the match, winning 25-22.
Lauren Snyder led the Warriors' attack with 16 kills.
Kassidy Boener tallied three aces in the contest.
Jacqueline Allaway was a force at the net, recording six blocks.
Isabella Assaley recorded 21 assists, while
Emiline Wood added 24 digs.
The Warriors move to 20-11 on the season and 13-6 in conference play. Tech returns to action on Saturday for their final regular-season match of the campaign, hosting Lawrence Tech for a 2:00 p.m. start.
