ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team traveled to Rochester Hills, Michigan, on Saturday afternoon, where they met the Warriors of Rochester Christian University in a conference showdown. The Orange and Black would return home with a victory in hand, winning 79-73.
Tech got off to a fast start, opening the contest on an 18-6 run across the first seven minutes. The hosts responded, battling back to take the lead with just under seven minutes to go. From there,
Evan Haroldson would score 11 straight points for the Warriors, which would kickstart a 15-4 run, giving Tech a 10-point lead with 2:08 left to go. Heading into the break, the Warriors would lead 38-30. Out of the break, the hosts would cut the Orange and Black's lead to one, but the Warriors would never give up the lead in the closing 20 minutes, settling for a 79-73 victory.
Blake Davison paced the Warriors with 19 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
Evan Haroldson added 18 points, three rebounds, and one steal.
Jaxson Fugate posted a double-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists.
Tech moves to 9-1 on the season and sits at a perfect 5-0 in conference play. Tech returns home for their next contest, where they will host UM-Dearborn on Saturday, December 13, starting at 3:00 p.m.
