FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's basketball team returned to action on Wednesday evening, hosting the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils in the Schaefer Center. Controlling the contest from start to finish, the Warriors would come away with an 86-48 win.
 
The Warriors quickly took control of the contest as Ryan Moorer's 13 first-quarter points helped give Tech a 25-9 lead headed into the second quarter. Tech didn't slow down in the second quarter. Offensively, they continued to operate at a high efficiency, shooting 54.8% in the first half. On the defensive side of the ball, the Warriors were ferocious, forcing seven turnovers and holding the visitors to 28.1% shooting from the floor in the opening 20 minutes. As a result, the Orange and Black held a 45-22 advantage headed into the midway break. In the second half, the Warriors continued to control the game, extending their lead to as much as 31 in the third, leading 61-31 heading into the final frame. In the fourth, the Warriors cruised to the win, 86-48.
 
Ryan Moorer led all scorers with 22 points, adding six boards and one assist. Taylor Covington chipped in 21 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Jaidyn Gulley posted a double-double with 10 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists. Jacklyn Crews added 10 points off the bench, grabbing four boards as well.
 
The Warriors move to 6-2 on the season, remaining perfect in conference play at 4-0. Up next, Tech hits the road for a contest with the RCU Warriors in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6.
