FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's basketball team returned to action on Wednesday afternoon, hosting the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers. With a gritty performance, the Warriors outlasted the Racers in overtime, winning 72-66.
Tech got off to a quick start, leading 18-10 after the first quarter. In the second, the Racers fought back, cutting the lead to a two-point margin, 23-25, with just under five minutes left in the quarter, but down the stretch Tech inched in front again, taking a 33-27 lead into the break. Out of the locker room, the Racers opened on a 13-2 run to grab their first lead of the afternoon and held a 54-50 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Juliana Burris took over, scoring eight of the Warriors' first ten points in the additional time to come out on top 72-66.
Taylor Covington led all scorers with 28 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

With the win, Tech moves to 21-4 on the season and sits at 16-1 in conference play. Tech will travel to Lourdes University for their next contest on Saturday, February 15, starting at 1:00 p.m.
