GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's volleyball team hit the road over the weekend for two conference games in Grand Rapids, Michigan. On Friday, the Warriors opened the trip with a 3-0 sweep of the Aquinas College Saints before falling 0-3 in their match against the No. 6 ranked Cornerstone Golden Eagles on Saturday.
Against the Saints, the Warriors were in control for the entirety of the match, winning the sets 25-17, 25-10, and 25-21.
Kristian Kold led the Warriors' offense with seven kills.
Ben Rosenow led the side with five service aces.
Logan Gamero and
Zack Karns both recorded three blocks.
Daniel Mitsin posted 16 assists, while
Alex Rosenow added six digs.
Against the Golden Eagles, the Warriors fell in three straight sets, 14-25, 22-25, 18-25. Leading the Warriors was
Logan Gieseke with 7 kills.
Dylan Poore,
Jacob Carrico, and
Kristian Kold all posted one ace.
Logan Gamero and
Daniel Mitsin tallied two blocks, while Mitsin also had 23 assists.
Dylan Poore and
Alex Rosenow added seven digs.
The Warriors are now 5-6 on the season and sit at 4-1 in conference play. Tech travels to Goshen, Indiana, on Tuesday, March 4, for their next contest where they will take on the Goshen College Maple Leafs in Ruth Gunden Gymnasium.
