ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The #8 Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team hit the road for a top ten battle against #6 Missouri Baptist on Saturday afternoon in a game that went back and forth until the very end.

Tech would take a 2-0 lead in the opening three minutes of the game on goals from Michelle Farrell and Da'zah Regusters, while Kylie King would also score for the Warriors in the first quarter to give Tech a 3-2 lead after one. After two quick goals by Missouri Baptist, King would level things for the Indiana Tech and Farrell would put them ahead 5-4 at the half. Regusters would complete her hattrick with to goals to open the second half and Brook Maul would add another as Tech led 8-5 midway through the third quarter. However, the Spartans would then go on a 5-0 run to go up 10-8 early in the fourth quarter. King and Regusters would add to their big days to tie it back up for the Warriors at ten apiece with 12 minutes remaining, but Missouri Baptist would close the game out strong to sneak away with the 13-11 win. Farrell would score the last Warrior goal to finish with a team high six points on three goals and three assists, while Regusters finished with five points (4 goals, 1 assist). Kat Hoff got the start in goal for Tech, making 15 saves in the loss.

The Warriors fall to 1-1 on the season and will host #3 University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) in another top ten matchup. The game is set for Friday, February 28th at 5pm at Warrior Athletic Field in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
