FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference has released the 2024-25 conference awards for men's basketball, and Indiana Tech had seven Warriors recognized with all-conference honors.
Javel Lewis was named WHAC Defensive Player of the Year, earning a spot on the All-Defensive and All-WHAC Second Teams.
Blake Davison and
Crew Gibson were named to the All-WHAC First Team.
Brady Titus joins Lewis as a member of the All-WHAC Second Team, while Gibson joins Lewis on the All-Defensive Team.
Jaxson Fugate earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team.
Evan Haroldson was named to the Champions of Character Team. Head Coach
Ted Albert was named WHAC Coach of the Year.
Javel Lewis– Defensive Player of the Year/All-Defensive Team/Second Team All-WHAC
In his second season in the Orange and Black,
Javel Lewis was named the WHAC Defensive Player of the Year. Additionally, he landed on the All-WHAC Second and Defensive Teams. Lewis started in every game he played in this season, 26 of the 28. The Lansing native averaged 7.0 PPG and 5.8 RPG. Defensively, Lewis showed his value as a rim protector, posting 20 blocks on the season and adding 4 steals.
Crew Gibson – First Team All-WHAC/All-Defensive Team
In his sophomore season,
Crew Gibson picks up his first All-WHAC First Team selection, as well as All-Defensive Team honor. Gibson started in 27 of the 28 games he played this season. The Floyds Knobs, Indiana, native led the team in scoring with 399 points, averaging 14.3 per contest. He also led the side in assists with 91, averaging 3.3 a game. Gibson corralled 251 rebounds, which was first on the team and third in the conference, as he averaged 9.0 per game. Defensively Gibson led the side with 40 blocks and swiped 16 steals.
Blake Davison – First Team All-WHAC
Junior Guard
Blake Davison was named to the All-WHAC First Team for the first time in his Tech career. Davison started in all 28 games this season, finishing second on the team in scoring, with 364 points for an average of 13.0 per game. He added 4.4 RPG and was second on the team with 84 total assists, averaging 3.0 per game. Defensively, Davison tallied 20 steals and 5 blocks on the season.
Brady Titus – Second Team All-WHAC
Junior guard
Brady Titus picks up his second WHAC honor, earning a spot on the All-WHAC Second Team for the first time as a Warrior. In his third season in the Orange and Black, Titus started 27 of the 28 games and is third on the team in minutes played with 745. He was also third on the team, scoring 267 points, averaging 9.5 per game. He added 3.6 RPG and 2.6 APG.
Jaxson Fugate– All-Freshman Team
In his first season at Tech,
Jaxson Fugate made an appearance in all 28 games and averaged 13.6 minutes per game. Fugate was fifth on the team in scoring with a 7.2 PPG average and dished out 32 assists this season. He also grabbed 79 rebounds on the season.
Ted Albert – Coach of the Year
Head Coach
Ted Albert earned his fourth honor as the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, leading the Warriors to their fifth-ever regular season conference title, four of which came in the last six seasons.
WHAC Champion of Character
Evan Haroldson was Tech's representative to the WHAC Champions of Character Team. The award goes to the player who best displays the five core values of the NAIA: integrity, respect, responsibility, servant leadership, and sportsmanship.
