MARION, Ind. – The Indiana Tech baseball team was back in action for the third day on Wednesday afternoon as they traveled to Marion, Indiana, for a single nine-inning game with the Wildcats of Indiana Wesleyan University. In an offensive-heavy contest, the Warriors fell on the road 16-19.
Tech did all their damage in four innings, scoring four in the third, five in the fourth, three in the sixth, and four in the eighth. The Warriors were led by
Jordan Malott who went three for five at the plate with six RBIs, four of which came off a grand slam, and scored four runs.
Ben Morrison,
Brycen Hannah, and
Jack Ferguson all posted multi-hit games with two apiece. Morrison added another home run to his tally and had two RBIs. Ferguson also recorded two RBIs.
Tech is now 12-8 on the season and returns to conference action with a trip to Lawrence Tech on Saturday, March 22, for a doubleheader.
