Women’s Lacrosse Takes Down Pilots on Senior Day

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The #9 Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team hosted Bethel University in a conference matchup on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors would celebrate senior day with a big 16-8 victory over the Pilots, while honoring their three seniors, Kat Hoff, Noelle Ricci, and Sydney Oberdorfer.

Senior attacker Noelle Ricci would score the opening two goals of the game to put the Warriors ahead early. Brook Maul and Michelle Farrell would then both score on the man up advantage to make it 4-0 before Bethel would find their first of the game. Tech would lead 5-2 after one quarter of play. After an early second quarter Pilots goal, the Warriors would score five straight goals and shutout the Pilots for the remainder of the quarter to take a 10-3 lead into halftime. The Third quarter would go back and forth with Bethel taking a 3-2 advantage in the period, but Tech still led 12-6 heading into the final quarter of play. The Warriors would regain control with an opening minute goal from Farrell who would go on to record a hattrick in the fourth quarter. Cyena Williams would put the finishing touches on the game scoring in the final minute to help the Warriors secure the 16-8 win. Michelle Farrell would lead the Warriors with nine goals and three assists to finish with 12 points on the day, marking new career highs in both goals and points. She would also add five draw controls, three caused turnovers, and five ground balls. Cyena Williams would lead the Warriors with six ground balls in addition to her fourth quarter goal. Senior Noelle Ricci would finish with two points, one ground ball, and one caused turnover. The senior goalkeeper duo of Kat Hoff and Sydney Oberdorfer would help the Warriors to their eighth win of the season, finishing with eight total saves. Hoff would get the start in net and would be credited with the win.

Tech remains perfect in WHAC play at 6-0 and sits at 8-2 overall on the season. They will play their final two regular season games on the road against RV Siena Heights University on Wednesday, April 2nd and against #7 Marian University on Wednesday, April 9th.
