FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team hosted the Lourdes University Gray Wolves in a WHAC contest on Wednesday afternoon, where Tech would fall 0-4.
The Warriors would play well through the opening 15 minutes of the game, keeping possession and looking threatening on offense. The Gray Wolves would create some chances throughout the first half, notably hitting the crossbar in the 10
th minute and scoring twice, in the 28
th and 31
st minutes, to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. Tech would again start the second half strong but fall off midway through the period as Lourdes grew stronger in the game. The Warriors would still create a flurry of chances in the half but would be unable to score in the contest. The Gray Wolves would add two more goals in the second half, in the 66
th and 75
th minutes, going on to win by a final of 4-0.
Sara Cogoli would make seven saves in goal for the Warriors.
The Warriors fall to 0-6-0 overall and 0-2-0 in WHAC play. Tech will host Cornerstone University on their senior day this Saturday, September 27
th at 4pm at Warrior Athletic Field.
