ADRIAN, Mich. – The Indiana Tech (RV) Men's and Women's Cross Country teams ran their second races of the 2025 season on Friday afternoon as they competed at the Siena Heights Invitational in Adrian, Michigan. Both teams would have stellar performances with
Ayub Sayid leading the men to a third-place finish and
Sarah Koker leading the women to a fourth-place finish.
On the men's side,
Ayub Sayid (25:31 - 4
th),
Juan Caballero (25:36 - 5
th), and
Giulio Romano (26:06 - 10
th) would put up top ten performances, while
Andreas Tonning (26:56) and
Javin Mericle (26:58) would round out the top five competitors for the Warriors. Overall, the men would finish third out of twelve teams in the 8k event with a score of 79, placing behind #18 Aquinas (40) and Madonna (54).
For the women,
Sarah Koker ran a 23:06 in a runner-up finish in the 6k event to lead the Warriors.
Bronwyn Nel (24:14 – 15
th) and
Skotti Ball-Duley (24:20 – 17
th) would both finish inside the top 20, while
Karla Julian (24:34) and
Makella Sweeney (27:17) rounded out Tech's top five. The Warriors finished in fourth out of eleven teams overall with a score of 108, behind #15 Aquinas (43), Spring Arbor (81), and Madonna (103).
Tech will be back in action next Saturday, October 4
th when both the men's and women's teams head to Cedar Rapids, Iowa for the Seminole Valley Stampede hosted by Mount Mercy University.
