Grand Rapids, Mich. — Behind a game-high 27 points from Blake Davison, Indiana Tech pushed Aquinas to the wire before falling 85–79 at Aquinas College.
The Warriors trailed 44–35 at halftime after Aquinas shot 50% from the field and knocked down eight three-pointers in the opening half. Indiana Tech responded with improved efficiency in the second half, shooting 51.7% from the floor and cutting the deficit to as little as four points, but could not fully overcome the early gap.
Blake Davison led all scorers with 27 points, going 9-for-17 from the field and 8-for-9 at the free-throw line. Jaxson Fugate added 18 points and eight rebounds, while Steele Brasfield chipped in 13 points, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc.
Indiana Tech shot 45.0% from the field and went 19-for-22 from the line, but Aquinas' three-point shooting and second-chance points helped seal the win.
The Warriors move to 14–3 overall and 10–2 in conference play and will look to bounce back in their next matchup against University Northwestern Ohio on January 21st at home.
