FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The 24
th-ranked Indiana Tech women's basketball team cruised to an 86-45 win over Rochester Christian on Saturday.
Indiana Tech, who fell to Rochester Christian 54-53 earlier this season, used a blistering hot start to take a 15-2 lead in the first quarter. Indiana Tech led 23-11 after one.
The second quarter was more of the same as Indiana Tech took a commanding 43-22 lead into the half.
Indiana Tech wasn't done there as they outscored Rochester Christian 26-13 in the third quarter and took a 69-35 lead into the fourth.
Indiana Tech would go on to win 86-45.
Ryan Moorer led Indiana Tech with 20 points and seven rebounds.
Taylor Covington recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 assists.
Madison Vice added 18 points on 6-10 shooting, 5-9 from three.
The 24
th-ranked Warriors shot 55.7 percent from the field in the contest. They forced 17 Rochester Christian turnovers and outscored them in the paint 44-22.
Indiana Tech moves to 16-4 overall and 13-1 in WHAC play. The Warriors return to action on Wednesday at Lawrence Tech.
