GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech baseball team was picked to finish second in the 2026 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Coaches Preseason Poll, the conference announced Wednesday morning.
Indiana Tech received 129 points in this year's preseason poll after finishing in third place last season during the regular season at 20-8 and going on to win the WHAC Tournament. The Warriors would also make an appearance at the NAIA National Tournament, going 1-2 in the opening round, finishing the year at 38-21 overall. Tech comes in nine points ahead of Madonna University and 14 points behind defending WHAC regular season champion UNOH. The Racers received 11 first place votes, while the Warriors received one.
The WHAC Preseason Poll is voted on by the league's head coaches. Points are tabulated by assigning 12 points to the team a coach ranks first, 11 points to a team a coach ranks second, and so on. The number of first-place votes indicates the number of coaches who ranked that team as the No. 1 team in the WHAC.
