Livonia, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team returned to action Saturday afternoon after a brief break, putting together a strong offensive performance but coming up short in a 98–91 loss to Madonna University in conference play.
The Warriors kept pace early, trading baskets throughout the opening minutes before Madonna built a first-half advantage behind efficient shooting. Indiana Tech closed the half strong, scoring 49 second-half points, but could not overcome Madonna's hot shooting and interior presence.
Blake Davison led all Warriors with a game-high 28 points, adding seven rebounds while knocking down three three-pointers. Jaxson Fugate recorded a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds, going a perfect 10-for-14 from the free-throw line. Steele Brasfield chipped in 12 points, while Logan Beaston added 10 points to give Indiana Tech four players in double figures.
Indiana Tech shot 45.7 percent from the field and connected on 21 free throws, keeping the game within reach late. The Warriors forced key stops down the stretch but were unable to close the gap as Madonna capitalized from the field and at the foul line.
Indiana Tech moves to 11–2 overall and 7–1 in conference play and will look to bounce back with their next match up against Lourdes University in Fort Wayne on January 7th.
