Tech Bounces Back at Home with Win Over Lourdes

Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team bounced back in a big way Wednesday night, defeating Lourdes University 71–68 in a tightly contested WHAC matchup at the Schaefer Center.

The Warriors came out with early energy, trading baskets with Lourdes to open the game before settling into a strong rhythm on both ends of the floor. Indiana Tech built momentum throughout the first half behind balanced scoring and defensive pressure, taking a 33–20 lead into halftime.

Lourdes responded after the break, cutting into the deficit and turning the second half into a back-and-forth battle. Despite stretches of adversity and physical play, the Warriors stayed composed and made key plays down the stretch to protect their lead.

With the score tightened to 67–63 late in the game, Jaxson Fugate delivered a crucial defensive stop, stripping Lourdes to force a turnover and swing momentum back in Tech's favor. The Warriors closed out the final minutes at the free-throw line to secure the victory.

Indiana Tech was led by Logan Beaston, who finished with 16 points, while Blake Davison added 15 points and a team-high six assists. Dallas Roberts knocked down four three-pointers for 12 points, and Steele Brasfield chipped in 11 points. Fugate made his impact felt defensively with four blocks and the game-sealing steal.

The win improves Indiana Tech to 12–2 overall and 8–1 in WHAC play, keeping the Warriors firmly positioned near the top of the conference standings.

Indiana Tech returns to action looking to build on the momentum as conference play continues against Cornerstone at home on Saturday, January 10th.
