FORT WAYNE, Ind. – With another week in the books, updated national polls are out, reshaping the rankings and highlighting the Indiana Tech Warriors' continued presence on the national stage. With multiple seasons nearing their postseason stretch and others just hitting their competitive stride, every program is pushing toward one common goal: finishing on top.
This week's rankings roundup welcomes men's and women's track and field to the polls for the first time this season. The women's team enters at No. 4, while the men's team debuts at No. 3, marking an impressive showing early in the indoor campaign. Individual excellence has followed closely behind, as
Javion Westfield and Stephens Sydnor both collected January Player of the Week honors. Westfield earned WHAC Track Athlete of the Week after clocking an 8.00-second 60-meter hurdles, an NAIA "A" standard, at the Indiana Tech Invitational last weekend. His performance not only set the tone for the men's squad but also established him as a national contender moving forward. Sydnor continued the momentum on the field side, winning the long jump open with a 7.22-meter leap, earning an NAIA "B" standard and currently ranking 11th nationally in the event.
On the women's side, Giselle Unvieghara has been the driving force behind the team's early success. She earned two WHAC Player of the Week honors after posting a season-best 56.72 in the 400 meters and contributing to the 4x400m relay team, which also achieved an NAIA "B" standard. Unvieghara now ranks 12th in the NAIA in the 400m and 5th nationally in the 4x400m relay, positioning herself and the relay squad as legitimate national threats. The Warriors continue to showcase depth across the roster, with athletes such as

The Warriors have been locked in a tight battle with Cleary for the top spot in the WHAC standings. After splitting the weekend series, winning one game apiece, Indiana Tech was able to stay in first place in the conference, holding a one-point advantage over Cleary. However, Cleary re-took a one-point lead after this past weekend's results setting up a thrilling and important final two series for the Warriors.
Isaiah Gagerman has been delivering for the Warriors offensively and defensively.
