INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The No. 16 Indiana Tech men's rugby team suffered a 61-0 defeat to No. 8 Marian University on Saturday evening at Kuntz Stadium in Big Rivers Rugby Conference action.

The Knights demonstrated why they are among the nation's top-ranked programs, using their experience, physicality, and roster depth to control the match. Marian established a 29-0 advantage at halftime and maintained its momentum throughout the second half, keeping the Warriors on the defensive for much of the contest.

Despite the result, the matchup provided another opportunity for Indiana Tech's developing program to measure itself against established national competition. The Warriors will look to take lessons from the experience as they continue building toward the conclusion of their inaugural varsity season.

With the result, Indiana Tech moves to 1-1 in Big Rivers Rugby Conference play.

Up Next: The Warriors return home Saturday, October 17, to host the University of Rio Grande in another Big Rivers Rugby Conference matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Shields Field in Fort Wayne.
