SYLVANIA, Ohio – The (RV) Indiana Tech men's basketball team used a strong second half to secure an 89-71 win over Lourdes on Wednesday.
Indiana Tech led 24-22 halfway through the first half. The teams traded runs, and Lourdes led 36-35 with three minutes remaining in the half. Indiana Tech used a 9-0 run to close the half and take a 44-36 lead into the half.
The Warriors extended their lead to 14 to open the second half. Indiana Tech led 67-52 with just under 10 minutes remaining.
Indiana Tech led by as many as 21 in the second half and would cruise to an 89-71 victory.
The Warriors were led by
Jaxson Fugate who secured another double-double with 27 points and 13 rebounds.
Blake Davison scored 20 points, and
Eric Hobson added 11 points off the bench.
Indiana Tech shot 57.9 percent from the floor and 36.4 percent from three. The Warriors held Lourdes to 38.8 percent shooting in the contest.
Indiana Tech moves to 18-6 overall and 14-5 in WHAC play. The Warriors return to action on Saturday for Senior Day against current conference leader Madonna in a massive WHAC matchup.
