GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team took down Cornerstone 85-77 to conclude the regular season.
Cornerstone jumped ahead to a 15-8 lead six minutes into the game. The Golden Eagle lead grew to eight at 24-16. Indiana Tech fought back to send the game into halftime tied at 31-31.
The teams traded baskets to open the second half until Indiana Tech used a 7-0 run to take a 50-44 lead. The Warrior lead grew to ten at 62-52 with 8:37 remaining.
Indiana Tech led by as many as 14 down the stretch as the Warriors would secure an 85-77 win.
Indiana Tech was led by
Jaxson Fugate, who had 24 points and eight rebounds.
Blake Davison added 17 points, and
Logan Beaston had a near triple double with 15 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Both
Eric Hobson and
Trey Yoder had seven points apiece off the bench.
Indiana Tech closes out the regular season 21-6 overall and 17-5 in WHAC play. The Warriors will be the No. 2 seed in the WHAC Conference Tournament, which will begin on Thursday evening.
