FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's volleyball team defeated Cornerstone in four sets on Saturday.
The first set was back and forth as the teams were tied on several occasions. With the score tied at 20-20, Indiana Tech closed the set on a 5-2 run to take the first set 25-22.
With Indiana Tech ahead 8-7 in the second set, Cornerstone went on a 6-1 run to take a 13-9 lead. Cornerstone would cruise to a 25-16 second set win.
Indiana Tech took a 15-9 lead in the third set. Ahead 15-11, the Warriors used a 10-4 run to secure the 25-15 third set win.
Indiana Tech used a 9-1 run early in the fourth set to take a 14-7 lead. The Warriors led by as many as 10 points as they would cruise to a 25-15 fourth set and 3-1 match win.
Dylan Poore led Indiana Tech with 17 kills and two aces.
Kristian Kold had 12 kills and 7.0 blocks.
Nolan Bosley led Indiana Tech with 44 assists and 12 digs.
Indiana Tech moves to 8-5 overall and 5-2 in WHAC play. The Warriors return to action on the road on Tuesday against No. 8 Lourdes.
