DEARBORN, Mich. – The 25
th ranked Indiana Tech women's basketball team defeated Michigan-Dearborn 89-36 on Saturday, their 11
th straight win.
Indiana Tech opened the game on a 13-2 run. The Warriors led 15-7 at the end of the first quarter.
The Warriors scored six straight points to open the second quarter to take a 21-7 lead. Indiana Tech then closed the quarter on a 9-2 run to take a 33-13 lead into halftime.
Indiana Tech's offense exploded in the third quarter as the Warriors scored 32 points while only allowing 15. Indiana Tech led 65-28 at the end of three.
The fourth quarter was much of the same as Indiana Tech outscored Michigan-Dearborn 24-8 to cruise to an 89-36 win.
Indiana Tech was led by
Jaidyn Gulley, who had 21 points on 10-11 shooting with six steals, five rebounds and three blocks.
Gabby Richie tied a career-high with 15 points off the bench.
Taylor Covington had 13 points and eight assists, and
Madison Vice added 12 points and six assists.
Ryan Moorer added nine points and nine rebounds.
The Warriors shot 52.3 percent from the field and 37.9 percent from three. Indiana Tech held UM-Dearborn to 27.3 percent shooting and 21.4 percent from three.
Indiana Tech moves to 20-4 overall and 17-1 in WHAC play. The Warriors look to extend their winning streak to 12 on Wednesday when they travel to Lourdes.
